India squad for the Australia ODIs and T20Is to be announced on this date

The India vs Australia ODI series will begin on 19th October in Perth

The Indian Cricket Team, after the ongoing West Indies series, will be heading to Australia for the white-ball series. The two teams will be locking horns with each other in the three-match ODI series as well as the five-match T20I series. 

The India vs Australia ODI series will begin on 19th October in Perth. After that, the action moves to Adelaide, which will host the second game on October 23. The last match will be played on  October 25 in Sydney at the iconic Sydney Cricket Ground. 

The three-match ODI series will be followed by a five-match T20I series from October 29 to November 8. The series will mark India’s preparation for the ICC T20 World Cup 2026, which will be played in February-March next year in India and Sri Lanka.

Indian squad for the Australia tour to be announced on October 4

With the Australia tour around the corner, it is learned, as per the reports in Cricbuzz that the Indian squad for the ODI as well as the T20I series will be announced on Saturday (October 4). The Board of Control in India (BCCI) will be making an official release for the same. 

The reports claimed that Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are set to return to international cricket. The two stalwarts, who have announced retirements from Tests and T20Is, are all set to be picked in the Indian squad for the series. 

Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli last played for India in the ODIs during the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. They were expected to play the Test series against England. But announced their retirements from the longest format of the game ahead of the series. 

Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli will have a point to prove in this series as there have been a lot of rumours circulating about their retirement. It remains to be seen how both the legends will fare in the series.
