India Playing XI LEAKED for Guwahati Test - Big Names Dropped, New Faces In | IND vs SA 2nd Test 2025
India and South Africa are set to play in the second and last test of this series at Barsapara Stadium in Guwahati. The second test match will start from November 22, 2025, but the pressure will be on India after losing the first test match. As per the reports, some of the key players will miss the Guwahati test, and new faces will replace them in the Playing XI.
The most important update is that Shubman Gill will not play the second test match due to the neck injury that happened on Day 2 of the Kolkata Test. In Gill’s absence, Sai Sudharsan is likely to replace him in the Playing XI. Sudharsan has performed well in the last test series against the West Indies.
KL Rahul and Yashasvi Jaiswal are expected to open in the IND vs SA 2nd test in Guwahati. However, since Shubman Gill will not play the second test, Rishabh Pant will be leading India's test side in Guhawati. Currently, South Africa is leading the two-match test series by 1-0.
After India’s strange four-spinner strategy in Kolkata backfired, which led the Indian team to lose the easy win game. Therefore, reports say Axar Patel is likely to be rested for the second test, and Nitish Kumar Reddy will replace him in the Playing XI.

India’s Strategy vs South Africa for Guwahati Test:
India’s top order collapsed quite early in the first test in Eden Gardens, and this time, they need to play good cricket and give India a stable start. KL Rahul and Yashasvi Jaiswal are known for their quality batting, and it is expected that they will perform well in the second test at Barsapara Stadium in Guwahati.
With the addition of Nitish Kumar Reddy, India’s middle-order also looks quite more stable, which will help other batters to play with more ease. However, India’s pace bowling is quite challenging as Jasprit Bumrah and Mohd. Siraj is the only quality pacer in the Playing XI.
But Guwahati is known for spin bowling, especially as the game progresses, so the Indian team will try to use their spinners in the latter part of the test match. Overall, It’s going to be a good competition between both teams.
