IND vs SA: Why is Tristan Stubbs not playing the second T20I against India in New Chandigarh

Tristan Stubbs has been one of the best batters for South Africa in T20Is.

The Indian Cricket Team and the South Africa Cricket Team are up against each other in the second T20I of the five-match T20I series. The match is underway at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium, Mullanpur in New Chandigarh.

The toss finally went in favour of India as they opted to field and went in with the same XI. However, on the other hand, South Africa made three changes to their XI, leaving out Tristan Stubbs, which made many raise their eyebrow over it.

IND vs SA: Why is Tristan Stubbs not playing the second T20I against India in New Chandigarh

Tristan Stubbs has been the best South African batter in the white-ball format and him sitting out didn’t go well with fans. He was replaced by Reeza Hendricks in the XI and the reason that the Proteas captain gave was the rotation point of view.

“I’m hoping to get off to a good start, build some good partnerships tonight, and it gives us a good chance to put up a good total. Not because of the pitch, but just from a rotation point of view, we’ve got three changes: Stubbs, Maharajand Nortje are out, Reeza, Linde and Baartman are in,” said Aiden Markram
