With his knock, not only Virat Kohli register his first ton in World Cups since 2015 but he also shattered a lot of records. He became the leading run scorer in ICC White Ball events. The batter also won the Player of the Match award for his ton and with that, he now has now most awards in ICC events.
Virat Kohli also surpassed Mahela Jayawardene to become the fourth-highest all-time run scorer in international cricket. The batter also became the fastest ever to cross 26,000 runs. Apart from this, he also became the first Indian batter with more that 1000 runs at No.3 spot.
As he slammed his half-century, he also became the batter with most plus scores while chasing in ICC events. If this was not enough, he also has second most fifty plus scores in history of World Cups and most 50+ scores in ICC White Ball chases.
Virat Kohli also became the first player in the history of the game to score 1,500 runs in run chases in ICC events. He also has 4th most fifty plus scores in international cricket. He would be hoping to continue the same form in the IND vs NZ game as well.
