IND vs NZ: Hardik Pandya shatters THIS massive record of Virat Kohli in T20Is
Indian Cricket Team all-rounder Hardik Pandya achieved a massive feat in the history of Indian T20I cricket. He broke Virat Kohli’s record and became the second most-capped player for the national team in the shortest format of the game.
Hardik Pandya achieved the feat in the second T20I against the New Zealand Cricket Team. The second game of the five-match series between the teams is taking place at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Rajpur on Friday, January 23.
With his appearance in the second IND vs NZ T20I, Hardik Pandya has now featured in 120 games for India in the format. He went past Virat Kohli’s tally of 125 and became the second most capped player for India behind former skipper Rohit Sharma, who played 159 games.

In his T20I career, Hardik Pandya has slammed 2,027 runs at an average of 28.54 and with the best score of an unbeaten 71. He has also claimed 103 wickets at an average of 26.85, with the best bowling figures in a match of 4/16.
He is amongst the only four players who have played over 100 T201 matches for India, with the other three being Rohit, Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav. He made his debut in 2016 and was India’s MVP in the ICC T20 World Cup 2026.
