Rohit Sharma-led team India will face Tom Latham-guided New Zealand in the 3rd One Day International (ODI) game at Indore’s Holkar Cricket Stadium on 24th January 2023 (Tuesday). The dead rubber contest between India (IND) and New Zealand (NZ) will begin at 1:30 PM Indian Standard Time (IST). Down below is IND vs NZ 3rd ODI Match Prediction.

Preview:

Team India will head to this contest with a massive boost in the confidence riding on the back of two consecutive wins. The hosts first defeated New Zealand at Hyderabad, followed by a bowling masterclass at Raipur which helped India seal the three-match series in the second game itself. Having already won the series, India would be keen on sweeping New Zealand completely in the three-match ODI series.

Should Rohit Sharma and his boys manage to white-wash New Zealand, then they will finish their second ODI series whitewash in a month having defeated Sri Lanka earlier in the month 3-0.

Interestingly, the Indian playingXI may see some changes as it’s a dead rubber. The batting order is packed and we don’t see any change there, but there can be some movement in the bowling unit. Umran Malik might get a game in place of Mohammad Shami.

On the other side, New Zealand saw an embarrassing day during the 2nd ODI in Raipur. The visitors were bundled out for their third-lowest total against India in ODIs. India capped the Kiwi innings at 108 and eventually completed the task in just 20.4 overs.

New Zealand are also expected to make a couple of changes to its side. They may throw game time to Jacob Duffy and Doug Bracewell in the final ODI against India in Indore.

Pitch Report

The pitch at Indore’s Holkar Cricket Stadium is going to be an absolute belter for the batters. India and South Africa played a T20I game here, close to three months ago, and it turned out to be a run galore. Rilee Russow smashed a 48-ball ton. The ball travelled over the boundary rope as many as 27 times in the entire match. Fans can expect a similar surface for India vs New Zealand 3rd ODI.

Probable PlayingXI

India: Rohit Sharma (c), Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Ishan Kishan (wk), Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, Washington Sundar, Shardul Thakur, Kuldeep Yadav, Umran Malik, Mohammed Siraj

IND vs NZ 3rd ODI Match Prediction

Best Batter (Shubman Gill): Indian opening batter Shubman Gill is in a great run of form lately. He has mustered over 240 runs in just two ODI games including a double-century in the first game. The youngster has played consistent cricket over the past few months in ODIs and is again foreseen to go bid in the dead-rubber against New Zealand.

Best Bowler (Mohammad Siraj): Similar to what Shubman Gill has been doing in the batting order, Mohammad Siraj is also continuously translating his sublime form. The pacer has scalped five wickets in 2 games, including one four-fer.

IND vs NZ 3rd ODI Dream11 Team

Rohit Sharma (c), Shubman Gill, Devon Conway (vc), Suryakumar Yadav, Tom Latham (wk), Daryl Mitchell, Michael Bracewell, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammed Siraj, Lokie Ferguson/Jacob Duffy, Umran Malik.
