IND vs ENG 1st Test 2024: Day 1 Stumps, England at 246/10 & India at 119/1, Bazball flops against Ashwin and Jadeja:?India and England are playing the first test match of the five-match test series at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad. Team India dominated England on Day 1 of the first test match in Hyderabad, English batters failed to continue bazball in India against the spinners.
After Winning the toss, England batted first and they got all out by scoring 246 runs on the scoreboard in their first inning in 64.3 overs. Skipper Ben Stokes showed excellent temperament and played a responsible inning of 70 runs in 88 balls, however, other batters played small innings and somehow, England made 246 runs in their first inning against a strong bowling attack of India.
Indian Bowlers played good cricket on Day 1 in the first test match but they can perform better as England was at 155/7 in 48.3 overs therefore they can all out them under 200 but unfortunately, England scored 246 runs. While batting, Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal gave an excellent start to the team but skipper Rohit Sharma failed to covert it in the long inning.
IND vs ENG 1st Test Day 1 Match Summary:
England batted first and they played excellent cricket in the starting 10 overs following their bazball cricket but then, three wickets fell start and England got on back-foot and Indian spinners started dominating the game. However, Jonny Bairstow tried to put some pressure but he was able to score only 37 runs.
Although wickets were falling from the other end, Skipper Ben Stokes stood till last and helped his team to have decent runs on the scoreboard. In the end, England scored 246 runs in 64.3 overs and Skipper Ben Stokes played a fantastic inning of 70 runs. From Indian Bowling Department, Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin took three wickets each in the first inning.

India started well as they scored 80 runs for the first wicket in their first inning as Yashasvi Jaiswal and Skipper Rohit Sharma played a bit aggressively. Rohit Sharma got out by scoring 24 runs in 27 balls whereas Yashasvi Jaiswal is still on the crease and he scored 76 runs in 70 balls. English Bowler Jack Leach took one wicket from England's side on Day 1.
