IND vs AUS: After the ongoing ICC World Cup 2023, it’ll be time for the T20I series between India and Australia. The first game will be played on 23rd November at Visakhapatnam followed by the second game on 26th November in Thiruvananthapuram. The third match will be played on 28th November in Guwahati. The last two games will be on December 1st in Nagpur and December 3rd in Bengaluru.

With IND vs AUS T20I series just a few days away from now, a report in PTI has suggested that one among Ruturaj Gaikwad or Suryakumar Yadav will be given the leadership duties. Since Hardik Pandya is injured, BCCI is keen to give opportunity to them. 

The reports suggested that Suryakumar Yadav is the front-runner to captain the team in the IND vs AUS series. However, if he asks for rest as he’s part of the ICC World Cup 2023, then Ruturaj Gaikwad will captain the team. Under Gaikwad team won the gold medal at the Asian Games 2023.

Apart from this, the report also suggested that the likes of Arshdeep Singh, Avesh Khan, and Mukesh Kumar are expected to be picked. It is because BCCI wants to make core from the current young players for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup 2024.

It is also learned that Sanju Samson and Yuzvendra Chahal will also make a comeback after being dropped from the team ahead of the World Cup. Axar Patel is also expected to return. The all-rounder suffered an injury ahead of the World Cup and was ruled out. 

The report in PTI also suggested that BCCI is likely to give a chance to players, who performed well in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. The likes of Abhishek Sharma, Riyan Parag, and Bhuvneshwar Kumar are likely to make it into the for IND vs AUS series. It’ll be a great opportunity for all the youngsters to make their case strong for the T20I team. Since the preparations for the T20 world Cup will begin from this series, it’ll be an exciting context to watch.
