ICC WTC Points Table Updated After WI vs IND 1st Test 2023 | ICC World Test Championship 2023-25: India defeated West Indies by an inning and 141 runs in the 1st Test match, and now, Indian Team jumps to the Top Position in the ICC WTC Points Table with 12 points.

India won the first test match in just three days, They have shown dominating cricket and proved why they are the No.1 test team in the ICC Men’s Test team Rankings.

Youngster Yashasvi Jaiswal made his debut for the Indian team in test cricket and he scored 171 runs in 387 balls with 16 fours and one six. After this wonderful inning, Yashasvi becomes the third batter to score a century on their debut against West Indies.

West Indies batted first and They got all out on the 1st day and scored 150 runs on the scoreboard in 64.3 overs. From the Indian side, Ravichandran Ashwin took five wickets and Ravindra Jadeja got three wickets.

In their first Inning, team India has an excellent start as Skipper Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal made a huge partnership of 229 runs for the first wicket.

India declared on Day 3 and made a massive 421 runs in their first inning with a loss of five wickets. West Indies batting got collapsed and they again got all out on the low score of 130 runs hence lost the match by an inning and 141 runs.

The Player of the Match was Yashasvi Jaiswal for his Phenomenal inning whereas Ravichandran Ashwin took 12 wickets in this match.
