ICC T20I Rankings: How many Indian and Afghanistan players are in the top ten rankings ahead of the Asia Cup 2025 | ICC Players Rankings

The Asia Cup 2025 is just one sleep away from now. The tournament is all set to begin on 9th September with the Afghanistan National Cricket Team taking on the Hong Kong National Cricket Team in the tournament opener. The match will be played at Abu Dhabi’s Sheikh Zayed Stadium. 

On the second day, the India National Cricket Team will be taking on the UAE National Cricket Team at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai. The match will be played on 10th September and is expected to see full crowds with Indian stars in action. 

The ICC T20I Rankings will be one of the key things going into the Asia Cup 2025. This surely will boost the confidence of the players. With India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka being the top nations in the tournament, it is expected that a blockbuster will be there. 

If we talk about the rankings, four Indian batters are in the top ten of the ICC T20I Rankings for batting. Out of this, there are part of the Asia Cup 2025 squad. Abhishek Sharma and Tilak Verma are the top two batters in the rankings. 

Indian skipper Suryakumar Yadav is at sixth, while Yashasvi Jaiswal, who isn’t part of the squad, is at the tenth spot.

In terms of bowling, only three Indian bowlers feature in the top ten list, while one from Sri Lanka and Afghanistan are there as well. Varun Chakravarthy is in the fourth spot, followed by Ravi Bishnoi at seventh. Afghanistan National Cricket Team skipper Rashid Khan is in 8th. Arshdeep Singh is at the last.

In the ICC T20I Rankings for all-rounders ahead of the Asia Cup 2025, Hardik Pandya takes the top spot in the list. He is followed by Mohammad Nabi in the second spot. Sri Lanka all-rounder Wanindu Hasaranga is at the 6th spot.
