The Cricket Governing Body of Pakistan -Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has not yet officially announced its squad for the T20 World Cup. This should have been done by January 7th. ICC rules require that all teams participating in the Cricket World Cup must announce their squads one month before the start of the tournament. January 7th is exactly one month before the first match of the T20 World Cup, which has already passed. 

Bangladesh was being supported by Pakistan

Meanwhile, the Pakistani team is preparing for a series against Australia. The PCB has not yet announced its squad for this series. While not openly stated by the PCB, there have been internal rumors that if Bangladesh is eliminated, they too will boycott the World Cup. Now that the official announcement has been made that Bangladesh is out, it remains to be seen what the Pakistan Cricket Board's stance will be. In the meantime, Pakistan has repeatedly issued statements designed to discourage Bangladesh from participating in the World Cup. 

PCB's stance will also become clear in a day or two

It is expected that the Pakistan Cricket Board's decision will be revealed on the day the Pakistan cricket team is announced for the Australia series. If the team is announced solely for the Australia series, it could be interpreted as the team considering skipping the World Cup, but if the team is also announced for the World Cup, it could mean the team will be playing. 

There will be no change in the schedule of the T20 World Cup, Scotland will play in place of Bangladesh

Meanwhile, the question remains: will Bangladesh's exit force the ICC to reschedule the T20 World Cup? The likelihood of this is slim. The Cricket World Cup is a major tournament, requiring extensive preparation. With only 15 days left until the start, any changes to the schedule are unlikely. However, Scotland will likely play the matches Bangladesh was originally scheduled to play. With Bangladesh's exit, Scotland will now be seen playing in the World Cup. However, an official announcement from the ICC is awaited, which could come at any time.
