The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), players, and the sports advisor for the interim government have decided to revoke their participation in the T20 World Cup despite warnings and deadlines from the top cricket organization, the International Cricket Council (ICC). Bangladesh has declared that unless the match is moved from India to Sri Lanka, the squad will not participate in the World Cup.

Asif Nazrul, the sports advisor for Bangladesh, made grave accusations against the Jay Shah-headed ICC following a crucial meeting with the players. He claimed that the ICC is disregarding the players' safety and has not handled Bangladesh fairly. The government, the cricket board, and the players are all committed to making sure that safety is not jeopardized, Asif Nazrul said.

Asif stated, "We will stand firm against any pressure. The world must recognize the repercussions if Bangladesh withdraws from the World Cup. We will not jeopardize the safety & well-being of our players."

The Cricket Governing of the Nation - Bangladesh Cricker Board upheld their decision after the meeting. The board stated that the venues for their matches should be moved to Sri Lanka since it is unsafe to travel to India to perform given the current circumstances. The ICC has previously stated that the tournament matches won't be relocated outside of India, though.

Bangladesh has remained steadfast in its choice in spite of the ICC's severe warning. The T20 World Cup appears to be under threat from this debate. Now, everyone is focused on how this disagreement will be resolved and what the ICC will do next.

The Bangla Tigers were originally assigned to Group C of the Twenty-Twenty World Cup and as per the schedule, they were supposed to take part in the The first 3 group-stage games in the city of Kolkata. On the 17th of February, Bangladesh was also supposed to play their last group match in the city of Mumbai versus Asian neighbors Nepal.
