The governing body has nominated two in-form batters and one spinner for their stellar performances in the month of April. But once again batter has surpassed the bowler and has won an award. It is a history for Pakistan as they for the first time in men's cricket bagged the award.?
ICC Player of the Month: Fakhar Zaman Wins Player of the Month Award?
Pakistan batter Fakhar Zaman has been awarded Player of the Month for his staggering performances with the bat in the month of April. He became the first men's batter from his country to win the monthly award from the apex body of cricket.?
Fakhar Zaman was the standout performer in the month of April. The Southpaw played some fantastic knocks and helped his side win the games. The opening batter was in a different mood during the ODI series against as he played a few enthralling knocks that saw him winning matches for his team.?

He scored two staggering centuries in the first game of the series and helped his side win. In the first game, he piled up 117 runs in 114 balls and then followed it up with a gigantic unbeaten knock of 180 runs that helped Pakistan chase a target of 337 runs.?
Apart from this, he scored 47 runs in the first T20I. In the last three ODI, he scored 19, 13, and 33 run knocks. He was also awarded the Player of the Series award for his staggering show with the bat. His two centuries made him win the award

Fakhar Zaman opened up about winning the Player of the Month award. He said that this month is one of the highlights of his career and he will look forward to continuing the momentum in the World Cup 2023.?
"It is truly an honour for me to be named ICC Player of the Month for April. This month has been one of the highlights of my career and it was an amazing feeling to play in front of my own people in Lahore, Rawalpindi and Karachi.
"I really enjoyed scoring back-to-back centuries in Rawalpindi, but my favourite was the 180 not out in the second match. I hope to continue the momentum leading into the ICC Men?s Cricket World Cup, and make Pakistan cricket fans happy and proud with my performances." He concluded?
