"I am afraid of Mumbai Indians," DJ Bravo responded after CSK reached IPL 2023 Finals

“I am afraid of Mumbai Indians,” DJ Bravo responded after CSK reached IPL 2023 Finals: MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings stormed into yet another Final of the Indian Premier League after dominantly outcasting Hardik Pandya’s Gujarat Giants in Qualifier 1. Before this past Tuesday, CSK had never defeated Gujarat Titans in IPL history. The Yellow Brigade conquered Gujarat, who had been the league’s standout team during the league rounds, to set the scenario for the big final game.

Given the edge that the five-time champion Mumbai Indians possess over the Yellow Brigade, Chennai Super Kings bowling coach Dwayne Bravo made the funny remark that he wishes to avoid facing the Mumbai Indians in the IPL 2023 title game.

MI defeated Lucknow Super Giants on Wednesday in the Eliminator match by 80 odd runs to march into Qualifier 2. They will face Gujarat Titans there and the winner will head to the Finals of the TATA Indian Premier League.

Bravo on facing MI in the IPL finals

DJ Bravo hilariously responded to Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings’ rivalry. He said he personally doesn’t want MI in the finals as he is scared of them. Pretty obvious that he was just joking at that moment but it shows how good the team is Mumbai Indians.

“No, I am scared of Mumbai (laughs). We don’t see it like that. All three other teams are dangerous teams. They are quality teams,” Bravo told Star Sports

“Yeah, I mean, honestly, my personal feeling, I don’t want Mumbai. My friend Pollard knows that. But, jokes aside, all the best to the other teams. We are looking forward to whoever we are going to face. I think we have got it,” he added.

Bravo rushed onto the pitch after the final Gujarat wicket fell to kick off the celebrations for CSK’s victory against GT. Bravo continued the party even after CSK arrived at the team hotel since he was observed dancing joyfully in the lift. If Mumbai Indians advance to the final, Bravo will face off against his close friend Kieron Pollard, who serves as the team’s batting coach.

In addition to owning a better overall record, the Mumbai Indians also enjoy an edge over the Super Kings in the IPL final clash. The two teams met in the final for the first time in 2010, with Chennai coming out on top. The Mumbai Indians, led by Rohit Sharma, routed MS Dhoni’s side in the finals of 2013, 2015, and 2019, therefore it has been a one-sided contest ever since.
