England Vs India 5th Test Preview: The final of ongoing India vs England five matches test series is scheduled to begin on 10th September. The first match ended in a draw due to an unstoppable rain barrage on the final day while the second test is won by the Indians. England made a comeback in the third test match and levelled the series, however, a mouth-watering display of batting and bowling on days four and five from the visitors put them in a driver seat.

The five matches series is currently led by team India with a lead of 2-1 with one game to go. Although Virat Kohli has already retained the ongoing Pataudi Trophy, the skipper will be keen on putting an Indian stamp on it.

There were a lot of speculations around the game being suspended after one more Indian support staff member tested covid positive, however, the two cricket boards decided to go as per the scheduled plans despite a few challenges.

Team India has some positive news ahead of the fifth test match, successful opener Rohit Sharma and speedster Mohammad Shami are completely fit to be selected in the playing11. Only workload management could make them sit out of the final test.

For England, Mark Wood is fit and could replace Craig Overton while there will be doubt around the selection of James Anderson and Ollie Robinson who have featured in all four test matches. England strictly follows the rotation policy and workload management has been their key priority. It will be interesting to see if they field both the aforementioned pacers in the high stake game or opt for a workload management rest.

There are shattered changes of showers on the first two opening days of the fifth test match, however, there is nothing much to worry about. The surface will assist the pacers initially and it turns spinner on with the progress in the match, as seen in the Hundred competition.
