ENG vs AUS Day 5 Weather Forecast and Pitch Report

ENG vs AUS Day 2: Australia are on top as they bundled out England on a low total and have batted with ease as well. Day 1 of the test match was exactly what Australia would have liked but they leaked quite a few more runs to the tailenders. Near perfect weather for bowlers, a little bit overcast but didn’t interrupt the match. Here we are with ENG vs AUS Day 2 Weather Forecast and Pitch Report of  Kennington Oval, London.

Harry Brook was the star for England as his impressive 85 put England in a better position and Starc, on the other hand, was as good as he is. Each of the Australian bowlers grabbed a wicket while Strac bagged 4.

Before all that, Australia won the toss for the first time in the series and Pat elected to bowl first. England had some eye-catching moments like the 60+ runs in the opening stand, blistering 85 from Brook, and lower-order firing but they collapsed as well.

In the first session, they lost 3 for 11 runs, and in the second, they lost 4 for 28 runs. Additionally, Australia’s fielding efforts were pathetic. They mishandled up to five catches. The sky was cloudy, and there was a slight green tint on the surface. Although Australia didn’t get off to a good start, England kept giving away wickets, keeping Australia in the game.

The Australian openers then got them off to a good start, but Warner once again failed to convert his start, and this time he goes to Woakes. But Khawaja and Labuschagne kept them at bay till they were 61/1 at stumps.

The grounds staff anticipates the pitch to be roughly similar to the one we witnessed during the WTC Final about two months ago. Travis Head, Steve Smith, and Virat Kohli all showed how effective that pitch was for scoring runs despite having a lot of bounce and carry. If the playing surface is similar, Mark Wood will once again be the main threat to the visiting team. The grounds crew anticipates a rainy start to the proceedings as rain is predicted during the night before the game.
