Demands for a security consultant laid by the Bangladesh Cricket Board(BCB) to the government
Bangladesh are to travel to Pakistan for a 2-match Test series, which is to be initiated from the 17th of August at Rawalpindi and Karachi. Traveling to Pakistan has been a major concern foreseeing the political unrest in the nation.
BCB reportedly informed the press that they have requested the government to provide them with a security consultant for the forthcoming tour to Pakistan.
Jalal Yunus said to reporters on Wednesday
"Look, providing safety is up to them (Pakistan), and we go there because they assure us to provide state-level security, and after they assured us about it, the tour was fixed,"
The BCB chairman stated that everyone had witnessed how the Pakistan government had provided them with great security in the Asia Cup as they travelled to the nation for the same, unlike teams like India who were barred from doing so.
He also stated that several international teams, like Australia and England, have travelled to Pakistan in recent times and have not faced major issues with security as the PCB and their government did the best they could.
He agreed to have security concerns as well, but the tour was planned after getting an assurance from the Pakistani government on the security of these players. Prior to the two-match series, which is part of the ICC World Test Championship, the Bangladesh A team will travel alongside senior pros Mushfiqur Rahim and Mominul Haque to play two 4-day games and three games in the ODI format.
This will be foreseen as a preparatory series before the actual game begins, as Bangladesh does not stand much of a chance to practice before the main series begins.

Jalal Yunus clearly stated that BCB is asking for a security council that can maintain an interrelation between the Bangladesh Cricket Team and the Pakistan government regarding the security issue during the tour.
