CSK’s Moeen Ali awaits a travel visa for the Tata IPL 2022: Chennai Super Kings (CSK) has found itself in yet another trouble following England all-rounder Moeen Ali’s visa issues. The Englishmen who was retained by the yellow brigade for INR 8 Crores ahead of the IPL 2022 mega auction is waiting to get clearance from the Indian High Commission in the UK.

Moeen Ali has reportedly not received his visa papers to travel to India for the fifteenth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The issue faced by the cricketer might delay his appearance in the tournament.

CSK CEO Kasi Vishwanathan is hopeful that Moeen Ali will soon receive his visa and join the CSK squad in Surat ahead of the Tata IPL 2022, starting March 26. He further told that the cricketer applied for the visa on February 28th, but still, he hasn’t got a green signal from the Indian embassy.

“He had applied for his visa on February 28. It has been more than 20 days since the application was submitted. He has been a frequent traveller to India and yet he has not got the travel papers. We are hoping he will join the team soon. He has told us that he will take the very next flight after getting the papers,” Viswanathan was quoted by Cricbuzz.

CSK has approached the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to look into the matter.

“Even the BCCI has got itself involved to help us. We are hoping that he will get the papers by Monday,” he added.
