The Indian Cricket Team faced a massive setback after Dream 11 pulled out as the lead sponsor of the team. This came after the Bill related to sports betting was passed in Parliament. This will put a ban on all the apps related to betting and all.

With Dream 11 pulling out of the deal, the BCCI organised an emergency Apex meeting. The meeting was chaired by Rajeev Shukla, who is acting as the President of the BCCI after Roger Binny, who retired from the post recently.

The main agenda of the meeting was related to the sponsors. The reports claimed that BCCI is looking forward to a deal till 2027. However, by the time the Asia Cup 2025 starts, it will be tough for them to fetch that.
