No Shubman Gill, Mohammed Shami returns! The Indian squad for the ODI series against Australia has been leaked

The Indian Cricket Team's next ODI assignment will be against Australia. Following the Asia Cup 2025, the Men in Blue will tour Australia for a three-match ODI series, scheduled to take place from October 19th to 25th. 

This will be the first time that India will be playing the ODIs after the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. The last outing in the 50-over format was fruitful for them as they beat New Zealand in the final and went on to win the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. 

The ODI series against Australia will see the return of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli after a while. The duo only plays in ODIs, and there have also been a lot of talks about their retirement. The series will be a great platform for them to silence all their critics. 

As per the reports in Times Now, it is learned that Rohit Sharma will be leading India in the ODI series against Australia.  It is reported that Shubman Gill will be rested for the series to manage his workload.

In place of Shubman Gill, it is learned that Yashasvi Jaiswal will be added to the team as an opener. Virat Kohli will be three three while the middle-order will see Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant, who will be the two wicketkeepers in the team for the series. 

India will be going with three all-rounders in the squad for the Australia series. Hardik Pandya, Axar Patel and Ravindra Jadeja will be playing a crucial role with the bat and ball. The spin department will see the likes of Kuldeep Yadav and Varun Chakravarthy. 

In the pace department, Mohammed Shami will mark his return to the team after a long gap. He has been out due to injury. He will be accompanied by Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj and Arshdeep Singh in the team.
