Indian captain Rohit Sharma, along with head of selection committee Ajit Agarkar and head coach Gautam Gambhir, were available in the review meeting in Mumbai. There were major topics discussed in the meeting on India's future captaincy, recent performances, and ICC squads.

Meanwhile, some media reports also indicated that the BCCI is not happy with the performance, and they will take some hard steps forward. This rule was dumped during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Indian board believes it accompanying the family on tours affects the performances. The rule indicates that if the tour is of 45 days or more, then a player can stay with family for 14 days. Meanwhile, if the tour is shorter, then the rule is applicable for seven days. The rule also implies that all players will have to travel with the team, not alone.

A report from Indian Express also suggests that the BCCI might apply the rule of pay cut. That will be applicable on the basis of the player's performance. The report quotes, "It was suggested that players should be held accountable, and if their performances are not up to the mark, they should face variable pay reductions."
