India's Fielding Coach T Dilip adressed the injury in the post-match conference. He confirmed that Axar Patel is fine at the moment, but also pointed out that head injury always need extreme cautions.

He said, "Just now I have seen Axar, he looks fine now at this point in time. That's what I can say about it."

If Axar Patel is ruled out of the match against Pakistan due to fitness issues, Team India has backup options. The Indian Team currently uses a three-spinner combination with Kuldeep Yadav and Varun Chakravarthy but now India might go with another pacer, Arshdeep Singh.
