AUS vs PAK 2nd Test: Day 3 Stumps, Australia at 187/6, Shaheen Afridi Took Three Wickets | Australia vs Pakistan Test Series 2023-24: Pakistan made a significant comeback on the Day 3 of 2nd Test match against Australia at Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) in East Melbourne, Australia. Shaheen Shah Afridi took three wickets crucial wickets of the Australian Team, which led them on the front foot in this test test match.

Pakistan was at 194/6 by the end of Day 2 but they were able to score only 70 runs on Day 3 and got all out by scoring 264 runs on the scoreboard. From the Australian Bowling Department, Pat Cummins took a five-wicket haul and Nathan Lyon took four wickets.

Australia batted decently on Day 3 and they made 187 runs with the loss of six wickets, Mitchell Marsh played quite aggressively and scored 96 runs in 130 balls whereas Steve Smith scored 50 runs in 176 balls and led Australia back into the game. Pakistan wasn’t in the game on Day 1 and Day 2 but they made a good comeback on Day 3 and performed exceptionally well with both bat and ball. Mohd. Rizwan scored 42 runs in 51 balls whereas Aamer Jamal, who bowled exceptionally in the first inning and scored 33 runs in 80 balls with the bat.

Australian Bowlers need to perform better as they took only four wickets by giving 70 runs on Day 3. While batting in their second inning, the Australian Team played well with the bat and scored 187/6. Steve Smith played a crucial role in the second inning as they stood from one end and scored 50 runs in 176 balls whereas wickets kept falling from the other end.

But Later, Mitchell Marsh made a good partnership of 153 runs for the fifth wicket with Steve Smith. This partnership was very crucial for the Australian Team, which got them back in the game on Day 3. Currently, Alex Carey (16*) 42 is on the crease whereas Pakistani Bowlers need to perform better.
