Australia batted first, and their batters played good cricket on Day 1; Australian Openers gave them a decent start. David Warner scored 38 runs in 83 balls with three fours, whereas Usman Khawaja scored 42 runs in 101 balls with five fours. Both the openers scored lots of runs against the Pakistani Pace bowlers.

Pakistani Medium Pacers bowled effectively on Day 1, especially in session 2. Hence, they got a couple of wickets as well. Hasan Ali and Aamer Jamal took one wicket each. Australian Batters Marnus Labuschagne is playing wonderful cricket, scoring 44 runs in 120 balls on Day 1 and is still not out.

The Pitch of Melbourne Cricket Ground didn’t help the Pakistani Pacers with the new ball, but the Medium Pacers got little advantage after the ball got old. Pakistani spinner Salman Ali Agha also bowled well, took one wicket in his three-overs spell on Day 1, and gave 5 runs.

Now, It will be quite challenging for the Australian Batters to play against Pakistani Medium Pacers, but currently, they are in a good position. Pakistan need to play collective cricket and build pressure on Australian Batters to get back in the game; otherwise, the Australian Team will not look back.
