Afghanistan?s qualification for the semi-final of the ICC World Cup 2023 lies very much in their own hand. They will next face Australia on Tuesday (November) at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. If they manage to win that game they will put one step in the semi-finals.
After that, Afghanistan needed to beat South Africa. If they win both their games they will be through without even depending on others. However, if they win only one game then they will be depending on others to make it into the next stage of the tournament.?
If they beat Australia or South Africa, they would then want Sri Lanka to beat New Zealand and England to beat Pakistan. If this happens, they would make it into the semi-finals. A win in AFG vs AUS would take them 4th on the gable with 10 points.
