Asian Games 2023: Pakistan announced a 15-member squad for the Asian Games 2023: Qasim Ahmed will lead the Pakistan Team: On 24 August 2023, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced the Strong 15-member Squad for the upcoming Asian Games. ACC Asian Games 2023 was scheduled from 23 September to 8 October 2023 in Hangzhou.
The Schedule of Cricket Events in the Asian Games 2023 is from 28 September to 7 October 2023. Hangzhou Asian Games Cricket Field and Pingfeng Cricket Field are chosen to host all the cricket matches. Asian Games will be played in the T20 Format.
Pakistan will play the first match of Asian Games 2023 against Winner of Match No. 8 on 4 October 2023 at Hangzhou Asian Games Field in Quarter Final-1. If Pakistan wins Quarter-Final 1, then they will play the Semi-Finals against the Winner of Quarter-Final 2 on 6 October 2023 at Hangzhou Asian Games Field.
Qasim Akram was chosen as Pakistan’s Captain in the Asian Gamesand led Pakistan in the Men’s U-19 World Cup 2022. Pakistan finished the U-19 World Cup in 5th Spot, while India was the Champion of the U-19 World Cup 2022.
Pakistan Team added all its young players to the Squad of the Asian Games 2023, like Omair Yousuf, Asif Ali, Mohammad Hasnain, Khushdil Shah, Shahnawaz Dahani and Haider Ali.
Due to the World Cup 2023, Pakistan Cricket Broad (PCB) picked all its young players for the Asian Games after seeing the squad of the Indian Team. Pakistan and India are the two favourite teams to win the Gold Medal of the Asian Games.
The Indian Team already announced their squad for the Asian Games. Ruturaj Gaikwad will lead the 15-member Indian Team in the Asian Games 2023. India’s Team included all its young players in Asian Games 2023, like Tilak Varma, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Rinku Singh, Arshdeep Singh, Washington Sundar, Ravi Bishnoi and Shivam Dube.
