After winning the toss, Bangladesh decided to bat first. They started the inning with some fire work, both the openers used the powerplay and led their team to 60+ runs in the first six overs. After that, Bangladesh batters started losing their wickets, and no major partnership was formed by any player.

The Highest partnership was between Tanzid Hasan and Saif Hassan, as both scored 63 runs for the first wicket. Tanzim played a crucial inning of 52 runs, and Saif also played a decent knock of 30 runs. In the middle overs and death overs, Bangladesh played slow cricket, which led to a restricted at 154 runs on the scoreboard.

From the Afghanistan bowling unit, Noor Ahmed and Skipper Rashid Khan took two wickets each, whereas Azmatullah Omarzai got one wicket. Afghanistan bowlers couldn't have done better in the powerplay and stricted Bangladesh at quite a lower score.

In the second Inning, Afghanistan had a poor start while chasing as they were frequently losing wickets from one end. Rahmanullah Gurbaz played a decent knock of 35 runs. Later on, Azmatullah Omarzai also scored 30 runs in 16 balls and skipper Rashid Khan scored 20 runs but failed to chased the target by 8 runs.

Bangladesh bowlers did an excellent job in this game as they restricted Afghanistan to under 150 and won the must-win game. Mustafizur Rahman took three wickets, whereas Nasum Ahmed, Taskin Ahmed, and Rishad Hossain got two wickets each.
