Asia Cup 2023: Pakistan became the first team to qualify for the Super 4 Round in Asia Cup after playing a draw with India: Pakistan secured their position in the Asia Cup 2023 Super 4 stage after playing a draw against India in the 3rd Group Stage match of Asia Cup 2023 at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium, Pallekele.

On 2 September 2023, Pakistan played its 2nd Group Stage match against India at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium, Pallekele. Rain spoiled the whole match, and as a result, the match ended with no result. Team India won the toss and chose to Bat first.

In the first innings, Pakistan all out India on 266 runs in 48 overs. Shaheen Afridi took 4 crucial wickets for the India Team, while his partner bowlers Haris Rauf took 3 wickets and Naseem Shah took 3 wickets.

The match ended without a result, as heavy rain prevented Pakistan from playing in the second innings. Pakistan played the inaugural match of Asia Cup 2023 against Nepal on 30 August 2023 at Multan Cricket Stadium, Multan.

Pakistan beat Nepal by 238 runs and started their Asia Cup campaign with a massive victory. Pakistan scored 342 runs in the first innings, and Nepal lost all their wickets while scoring 104 runs.

Babar Azam played an outstanding innings of 151 runs, while Iftikhar Ahmed scored 109 runs and helped Pakistan win the Match against Nepal by a massive margin. Pakistan became the first Team in Asia Cup 2023 to secure their spot in the Super 4 Stage of Asia Cup 2023.
