After the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) officially pulled out from the Tri-Nation series between Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka, the Afghanistan U-19 team will participate in the upcoming India Tri-Nation Series 2025. This announcement came just days after Afghanistan boycotted their scheduled Tri-Nation series in Pakistan.

The Afghanistan U-19 Team will play a Tri-Youth ODI series including two India Teams, India U19 A and India U19 B. This series will be played in the same window as the Tri-Nation series in Pakistan. The new tri-series between India and Afghanistan marks a good relationship between both nations' cricket boards.

India vs Afghanistan Youth Tri-Series 2025: Full Schedule

The India vs Afghanistan Youth Tri-Series 2025 is all set to start from November 17, 2025, and the first match will be played between India U19 A vs India U19 B at the COE in Bengaluru. The Afghanistan U19 team will start their campaign on November 19 against India U19 B at the same venue.

India vs Afghanistan Youth Tri-Series 2025: Format

This Youth Tri-Series 2025 between India U19 and Afghanistan U19 will be played in a double round-robin format, each team will play four matches, and the top 2 teams will play the final on November 20, 2025, at the COE in Bengaluru. 

This series is very crucial for both teams as there are two important tournaments ahead, the ACC Men’s U19 Asia Cup and the ICC U19 World Cup 2026. Both teams will be looking to play their best cricket and test their bench strength for the upcoming tournaments.

Why Afghanistan Pulled out from the Tri-Series in Pakistan?

During a recent conflict between Pakistan and Afghanistan, Pakistani forces violated the ceasefire and carried out air strikes in Paktika province, where three young players were gathered for a dinner, and they died in this air strike.

In response to the killing of innocent people and young cricketers, the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) officially pulled out of the Tri-Nation series in Pakistan, which was scheduled in November.
