AFG vs SA: South Africa is playing their first game of the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy and started off with a surprising 11 against the Afghanistan team. When the Protea skipper Temba Bavuma came onto the field for the toss at Karachi, some shocking decisions created an immediate social buzz. 

South African star batsman and the most inform player, Heinrich Klaasen has been left out of the Playing 11, and Bavuma sighted that the reason for this is a precautionary measure since the player was troubled by a soft tissue injury to his left elbow.

South Africa has faced a huge blow since they will have to face at least 25-30 overs of spin from Rashid Khan, Noor Ahmed, and Mohammed Nabi as their frontline bowlers. Hence, Klaasen would largely be missed during the game. 

However, sighting their next two matches to be played against Australia and England, South Africa has decided to rest Klaasen to have him completely fit for the clashes between those two giants of World cricket and them.
