"Cannot take extra baggage"- Jasprit Bumrah issues huge statement on not getting support from bowlers
India fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah finally broke the silence on not getting support from pacers in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25. He was kind to admit that the team is under transition and he is trying to help everyone as they are on the learning curve.
India pacer Jasprit Bumrah has been the lone warrior for the team in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25. The fast bowler hasn't gotten any support from the others, but despite that, he is making sure he gives his best with the ball and helps his team be at the top.
Jasprit Bumrah, who is the leading wicket-taker in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25, has been right on the money with the ball even in the ongoing match at The Gabba in Brisbane. He was yet again the shining light for the team as he oozed his class with both old and new balls.
Despite the lack of support, Jasprit Bumrah has been sensational with the ball. The fast bowler has picked his second fifer in the series and claimed six wickets in the innings, removing Usman Khawaja, Nathan McSweeney, Steve Smith, Travis Head, Mitchell Marsh and Mitchell Starc.
Jasprit Bumrah took his team off to a flying start with the ball as he picked up two quick wickets. However, he wasn't backed up well by other pacers as Australian batters wreaked havoc across the bowlers and ended up with a massive total of 445 runs on the board.

Jasprit Bumrah attended the press conference after the Day 3 of the ongoing game. He was asked about not getting support from the other bowlers. Replying to this, he claimed that they don't point fingers at anyone as young bowlers will learn from it. He said:
"We don't point fingers. We are going through a transition. Not the easiest place to play. I am trying to help, everyone will learn and get better. This is a journey. We have 11 players, we are a new team. All these journeys will help them get better."
Jasprit Bumrah also elaborated on the criticism that the team is facing, saying that he cannot take extra baggage. He wants to give his best with the ball and focus on himself. He said:
"I cannot take extra baggage I don't take any opinion seriously. I look at myself and answer and give my absolute best. I ask that end of day and I accept the results."
