IPL 2021: Player’s Auction Agreement must be submitted by 4th February, all details of Auctions
IPL News & Updates: As the mini-auctions of the Indian Premier League 2021 getting closer day by day, the franchise who want to retain players must complete the retention process by January 20th. The players who want to be a part of the IPL 2021 auctions will have to fill the player auction agreement and submit it by February 4th, while the agreement can be sent by post till 12th Feb.
Indian Premier League COO and interim BCCI CEO, Hemang Amin explained the whole complete process of form filling for the capped and uncapped players to take part in IPL 2021 mini-auctions.
He added that the form will not be applied to those who have the contracts with the franchise or whose contract may get an extension ahead of the Auctions.
“Please note that the application process does not apply for the players who are attached to the franchise or may get the contract renewed before the IPl 2021 mini-auctions.”
Amin wrote how an interested cricketer can apply for the auctions.
“When the registration will be initiated by the respective state associations, it will automatically generate an email to the cricketer with their login information. To complete the registration process these login detail will be needed. Once registered, the player should also login to the online registration system, in order to show interest in being a part of IPL 2021.”
Players will have to fill up Player’s Auction Agreement:
“The player will have to complete all the required fields and download and fill the Player Auction Agreement of IPL 2021. After completing the form, the agreement must be uploaded back to the online registration system and the original copy must be sent to the respective state associations. It is important to note that the physical signature of the player is necessary for the Auction agreement,” he added.
The last date to submit the online agreement form is 4th February till 5 PM Indian standard time but the players can send the originals to the state associations till February 12th.
BCCI’s interim CEO made it clear that they will not deal with any sort of Player agent or manager, all the dealing will be done by the State associations only.
“At this stage, the BCCI will only work with the respective state association and not with any agent or player’s manager. Any mistake in the filling up the form or any kind of failure by the Player will result in the player’s name being withdrawn from the IPL 2021 auctions list.”
The cricketers of the U-19 are also eligible to fill up the registration form and Player’s Auction Agreement only if he is associated with the state association and has featured in at least one First Class game or List A game.
