Australia vs India: Will Pucovski faced 9th concussion, Langer worried

Australia vs India: Will Pucovski faced 9th concussion, Langer worried.

Australia vs India: Australia head coach, Justin Langer reckons he is worried about the youngster Will Pucovski’s international career. The young batsman Pucovski faced his ninth concussion recently in the game between India A and Australia A.

Pucovski is right now ruled out of the first test game against India due to a concussion that he suffered during the second practice game. According to the reports, this is the ninth time, Will faced a concussion.

9th Concussion for Will Pucovski:

Pucovski has had many concussions now. Australian medical team is closely monitoring him. He is right now back home with his loved ones at this time,” Justin Langer said.

Will Pucovski could not dodge the ball off the Indian reserve pacer Kartik Tyagi. The ball straight went to hit his helmet for the ninth time.

It was certain that Pucovski would get his baggy green cap in the first test game but the incident took his chance.

I am worried about Will because he got hit again the other day, and he almost certainly would have played his first test match, so I feel for him,” Langer said.

He’ll recover well then we have to go through the protocols. If he passes all the stages and returns fit for the selection then we have an option to select them or not… if they don’t then it becomes out of our hands,” Langer told.

Bouncers are the part of the game, Langer:

The 50 years old himself suffered various head knocks and feels bouncers are a part of the game.

Bouncers are one important aspect of the game. Unfortunately, we get hit. I can only say with my personal experience, what I have felt and also seen. But if you survive these then there is no reason why you can’t have a long successful domestic career as well as an international,” Langer added.

Right now Marcus Harris has been drafted as his replacement and will be part of the squad.

Three of the most prominent members of the Australian squad faced the concussion before the upcoming series. Will Pucovski, Cameron Green, and Harry Conway.

While skipper Tim Paine confirmed Cameron Green to be the part of the first game playing 11.
