T20 WC 2024: Australia's full Schedule for 2024 T20 World Cup

T20 World Cup 2024: The 2024 ICC T20 World Cup is all set to take place this year, in June 2024, in the Caribbean Islands and the United States of America. A total of 20 teams will participate in this year’s mega event, and 5 teams per group have been divided into 4 groups. The top two teams from their respective groups will qualify for the Super 8 stage.

2021 T20 World Cup winners Australia is part of Group B, which consists of arch-rivals and defending champions England, Oman, Scotland, and Namibia. The Aussies will play a total of four matches in the group stage as they begin their 2024 T20 World Cup campaign against Oman on June 5 in Barbados.

They will face arch-rivals and defending champions England on the 8th of June in Barbados as well, and their third group stage match against Namibia will take place on the 11th of June at the iconic Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua. The Men in Yellow will end their group stage with a match against Scotland on June 15 at the Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium in St. Lucia.

Australia’s 2024 T20 World Cup group stage fixtures:

vs Oman, June 5, Barbados

vs England, June 8, Barbados

vs Namibia, June 11, Antigua

vs Scotland, June 15, St Lucia

The 2021 T20 World Cup winners managed to qualify directly for this year’s T20 World Cup, along with reigning champion England, runner-up Pakistan, India, South Africa, Sri Lanka, New Zealand, and the Netherlands. Australia are regarded as the most successful team in terms of World Cups, as they have managed to lift the ODI World Cup six times and the T20 World Cup in 2021 by defeating New Zealand in the final.

The Men in Yellow had a tremendous 2023, as they managed to win the 2023 World Test Championship and the 2023 ODI World Cup. The Aussies would be looking to continue their good form by winning this year’s T20 World Cup.

Before their 2024 T20 World Cup campaign begins, the Aussies will host the Windies for two test matches, three ODI’s, and three T20i’s. They will then travel to New Zealand in February for three T20i’s and two Test matches.
