2025 ICC Champions Trophy: Pakistan playing 11 for the game against India prediction
The time is ticking fast as the much anticipated India vs Pakistan in the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy is around the corner. The game between the two arch-rivals is taking place at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai on Sunday (23rd February).
Pakistan National Cricket Team didn't have a great start to the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy as they faced a poor loss against New Zealand in their opening encounter. Hence, the game against India becomes extremely important for them as it will be a virtual knockout encounter for them.
Pakistan National Cricket Team surely will be making some changes to their XI for the India clash in the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy. They would be keen to tick all the boxes in their preparations and make a strong comeback in the tournament.
Coming to the Pakistan National Cricket Team's playing 11 for the India clash, it is almost certain that there will be a change at the top. Fakhar Zaman has been ruled out of the tournament, and in his place, the PCB added Imam-ul-Haq to the side, and he will likely walk straight into the XI.
Imam-ul-Haq is expected to open the innings with Babar Azam, who slammed fifty in the first game. The batter was criticised a lot for a slow fifty and would be keen to make a strong comeback and help his team stay alive in the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy.
At No.3 Saud Shakeel is expected to retain his place. He was forced to open the batting in the first game against New Zealand and didn't have a great outing. He, too, will be under pressure to score some runs, especially after having a poor last few innings.
Skipper Mohammad Rizwan, along with Salman Agha and Khushdil Shah, will be handling the middle order for Pakistan in a game against India. While the skipper didn't have a great outing in the first match, Salman and Khushdil played a valuable hand for the team.
In place of Tayyab Tahir, who played the last game, it is expected that the Pakistan National Cricket Team might add Usman Khan in the XI against India. Usman is rated highly for his power-hitting and might come in handy for the team against India in the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy clash.
Pakistan pacer battery in Shaheen Afridi, Naseem Shah and Haris Rauf didn't have great outing in the last game. But all three are expected to retain their place along with Abrar Ahmed, who had a decent outing in the last game.
