The India Tour of Australia 2025 isn’t going well for Virat Kohli and his fans as he has had back-to-back two ducks in this ODI series. Fans called it “2 Ducks vs 11 Kangaroos”; everyone was anticipating King Kohli’s comeback in the Australia Tour, but things aren’t going right for him. India’s struggle continues in the 2nd ODI in Adelaide against Australia’s strong bowling.

Both the skipper, Shubman Gill, and Virat Kohli got out early; they scored 9 and 0 runs, respectively. However, Gill was in good touch, but the pressure led him to lose his wicket. However, Rohit Sharma and Shreyas Iyer are still on the crease, and they are playing well but also struggling a bit against Josh Hazlewood. 

Kohli’s Nightmare Tour So Far:

Virat Kohli came into this Australia tour with great expectations. Fans hoped to see a dominating performance from King Kohli on the Australian soil, where he had an excellent record and memorable innings. However, things haven’t gone according to plan and what people expected.

In both ODIs so far, Kohli has been dismissed for a duck, and this is the first time in ODI history that Kohli has been dismissed for a duck in two back-to-back innings.  Australian Pacer targeted the precise line and length, perfectly using the weak areas to get the wicket of Kohli.

First ODI: Shock Start in Perth

In the first ODI at Perth, he got out for a duck after playing eight balls. Kohli tried to play away from the body but edged one straight to point. This was the first in his ODI career in Australia when Virat got out without scoring a single run.

Second ODI: Déjà Vu for the King

After the early dismissal in Perth, the disappointment didn’t end; Kohli was once again gone for a duck. It was a perfect line and length for the LBW by Xavier Barlett. Virat Kohli, who once used to be one of the world’s most consistent ODI players, is now struggling to make his comeback in international cricket after returning after over six months.

Is this the end of the Kohli Era?

Virat Kohli is known for his comebacks, and he needs one game to regain his old form. Now, the third ODI is going to be very crucial not just for the series but for Kohli’s confidence as well.
