World Cup 2023 Qualifier: The Zimbabwe Cricket Board announced their 15-member squad for Cricket World Cup Qualifier 2023, which is scheduled to start from June 18th to July 9th, 2023.

The Zimbabwe cricket board announced a 15-members Team for the upcoming ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Qualifiers 2023. Zimbabwe has been chosen to host the World Cup Qualifier 2023. As per the fixture, Zimbabwe will play its first match of the Qualifier against Nepal on June 18th at Harare Sports Club Stadium.

Ervine Craid is chosen as captain for the Zimbabwe National Cricket Team in World Cup Qualifiers 2023. Zimbabwe named a strong squad for the CWC Qualifier 2023 to secure their spot in World Cup 2023. All ten teams of CWC Qualifiers will fight for the two remaining spots of the World Cup 2023.

Zimbabwe included one uncapped player in their 15-member squad for the World Cup Qualifier. Wicketkeeper-batsman Joylord Gumbie is included in the squad of Zimbabwe. Zimbabwe included him as a second Wicket keeping option for their team in the upcoming big tournament.

Key players of Zimbabwe for the upcoming CWC Qualifier are Captain Craig Ervine, Sikander Raza, Tendai Chatara, and Sean William. Zimbabwe is looking to secure one of the two remaining spots in the World Cup 2023.

ICC Super League Standings: Zimbabwe failed to get automatic qualification into World Cup 2023:

ICC Super League standing is an important league of ICC through which teams will get direct qualification into the world cup 2023 in India. Zimbabwe was part of the Super League but failed to book their position in the top eighths of Super League Standings, they finished the Super League in the 10th spot. 

The bottom five teams of the Super League got another chance to book their spot in the upcoming World Cup through ICC Men’s World Cup 2023 Qualifier.
