Women’s Ashes 2023: The England Cricket Board (ECB) announced the strong 15 members squad for the home Women’s Ashes series against Australia. Two uncapped players were added to 15 members Squad, Lauren Filer and Danielle Gibson, who have impressed with their outstanding performance in domestic cricket.

Lauren Filer performed outstandingly in recent matches for Western Strom this season, Her wicket-taking ability with good pace and swing helped him to be a part of the England Women’s National team. 

Danielle Gibson’s performance with both bat and ball was outstanding this season. She was the highest wicket-taker for her team this season in Charlotte Edwards Cup 2023 and was also a part of the England squad for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup as a reserve player.

England’s head coach, John Lewis, was excited about the new recruitment in the squad for the upcoming series. He said that Danielle Gibson’s current form and skill to change the game with both bat and ball make her a perfect All-rounder. 

England women’s team will play a three-day warm-up against Australia A ahead of Ashes at Incora County Ground, Derbyshire, from June 15th to June 17th for final preparation ahead of a big tournament against the Strong side of Australia. At the same time, an England A side led by Lauren Winfield will play a warm-up match against Australia women’s at Upton Steele County Ground, Leicestershire. 

The Women’s Ashes series will start with a one-off Test match scheduled for June 22nd at Trent Bridge, Nottingham. After This, A three-match T20I series and a three-match ODI series. England Women’s team will play its first-ever five-day contest at home.
