Who is Kristian Clarke? The Kiwi Pacer Who Dismissed Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma
New Zealand fast bowler Kristian Clarke gave a stunning bowling performance in the second ODI against India at Niranjan Shah Stadium in Rajkot. The 24-year-old right-arm pacer dismissed three Indian star batters - Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Shreyas Iyer. It was an extraordinary bowling from the young Kiwi bowler in the IND vs NZ 2nd ODI 2026.
India batted first after New Zealand won the toss; the pitch was dry and flat, and it was expected to be a high-scoring game. But Clarke came in the ninth over of the first inning, and he was consistent with the line but conceded some runs. Then, he took the wicket of former Indian captain Rohit Sharma in the 13th over, who was playing well but got out by scoring just 24 runs.
Later in the middle-overs, Kristian Clarke was brought back into the attack, and Shreyas Iyer was struggling with the bat; therefore, with his good line and length, Clarke struck Iyer and registered his second wicket of the game.
But just after two overs, Clarke got the wicket of Virat Kohli, and it was the biggest moment of his cricketing career. It was a back-of-a-length outside off stump delivery, and the ball took an inside edge and got directly onto the stump. With this dismissal, Kohliβs five-match fifty streak ended.
