What If India Loses to Pakistan, Asia Cup 2025 Qualification Scenario

The arch-rivals , India and Pakistan, are going to clash today at Dubai International Cricket Stadium, and it is going to be a high voltage game between both teams.

The much-awaited India vs Pakistan match is here; the arch-rivals are going to play their second match of the tournament at Dubai International Cricket Stadium in the UAE. Both teams share a long history in this sport, and it's always been interesting to watch both teams play with full passion and dedication.

The Indian Team is currently present at the top spot in the Asia Cup 2025 Points Table in Group A, whereas Pakistan is at second spot in the same group. Both teams have one match and have two points each. However, the net run rate of the Indian Team is almost double that of Pakistan.

Today's match between the Indian National Cricket Team and the Pakistan National Cricket Team is very crucial for both teams, as the winning team will get the top position in Group A. However, the top 2 teams from both groups will get into the super 4.

If India Loses to Pakistan - Possible Scenarios:

India wins the other group match:

After Pakistan, the Indian team will be playing their last group stage match against Oman on September 19, 2025, at Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi. The match against Oman will be pretty much one-sided for the Indian Team, so, in this scenario, they will finish at 2nd place.

India loses both matches in the group stage:

After losing against Pakistan, if the Indian Team loses against Oman, then also the chances of Indian getting into super 4 will be high as Oman need to win their last game against the UAE. After that, the net run rate factor will be there, and the Indian Team currently have an NRR of +10.483.

The Most Expected Scenario:

Therefore, India and Pakistan are almost confirmed to get into the super 4 as the other two teams, Oman and UAE, haven't won a single game, and they are not as strong as Pakistan or the Indian Team.
