Pakistani bowler Haris Rauf made provocative gestures during the Super Four match against India in the 2025 Asia Cup . The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) filed a complaint against Rauf with the International Cricket Council. The ICC subsequently fined him 30 percent of his match fee.

The BCCI also filed a complaint against Pakistan opener Sahibzada Farhan. Farhan had performed a gun celebration after scoring a fifty in the same match. The ICC issued a warning to Farhan. When Farhan scored a half-century in the final, he refrained from such celebrations.

In the Asia Cup final, Pakistan lost the toss and elected to bat first, scoring 146 runs in 19.1 overs. For the Pakistani team, Sahibzada Farhan scored 57 runs off 38 balls, including five fours and three sixes. Opener Fakhar Zaman scored 46 runs off 35 balls, including two sixes and two fours. Spinner Kuldeep Yadav took the most wickets for India, taking four. Axar Patel, Jasprit Bumrah , and Varun Chakravarthy each took two wickets.
