Bihar Register Record-Breaking Total in Vijay Hazare Trophy

Winning the toss and electing to bat first, the Bihar team scored a record 574 runs in the stipulated 50 overs. Mangal Mahrour and Vaibhav Suryavanshi opened the batting for the team. Mangal was dismissed after scoring just 33 runs, but after his departure, Suryavanshi scored the fastest century in the history of the Vijay Hazare Trophy, achieving this feat in just 36 balls. Suryavanshi played a magnificent innings of 190 runs off 84 balls, including 16 fours and 15 sixes.

Batting at number three, Piyush Singh scored 77 runs off 66 balls, wicket-keeper batsman Ayush Loharuka played a blistering innings of 116 runs off just 56 balls with the help of 11 fours and eight sixes, while captain Sakibul Gani scored a sensational 128 runs off just 40 balls with 10 fours and 12 sixes, successfully taking the scoreboard to a record 574 runs.

Chasing a massive target of 574 runs, the Arunachal Pradesh team was all out for just 177 runs in 42.1 overs. For Bihar, Akash Raj and Suraj Kashyap took three wickets each, Himanshu Tiwari claimed two wickets, and Sabir Khan picked up one. Vaibhav Suryavanshi was awarded the Man of the Match for his explosive innings of 190 runs.
