Noida Super Kings are having a season like Kings. They have played seven games so far, and they have only lost one, a nine-wicket defeat against Meerut Mavericks. Towards the end, Yashovardhan Singh smashed an unbeaten 19 off 9 balls, while Rishav Rai scored 11 off 7 to help Gorakhpur Lions reach 182/6 in the allotted 20 overs.

While chasing the target, Noida got a healthy start and put forward an 88-run opening stand. Gorakhpur saw a comeback when they knocked out both the set openers within 11 runs and skipper Nitish Rana as well and left NSK 123 for 3 wickets down. Aditya and Prashant of Noida Super Kings produced a solid defense and offense at the same time and the match came to the last over where NSK needed 7 runs off 6 balls.

Five runs came off the first 5 balls of the over and 2 runs were needed off the last ball. Prashant Veer was on strike and Sunil Kumar delivered a perfect yorker but Prashant Veer went forward and hit cut in the gap towards deep fine leg, and the ball found the ropes in a flash for four. NSK won the match by 7 wickets.

The afternoon match between Kanpur Superstars and Meerut Mavericks was a rare one. The rain halted the contest, where Meerut batted first and posted 103 runs in just 9 overs. Applying DLS Rules, Kanpur were given a total of 78 runs in 6 overs. Kanpur Superstars played brilliantly but they fell 4 runs short of the target and Meerut Mavericks won the match.
