Indian National Team star player Mohammad Siraj has been named the ICC Player of the Month for August after his exceptional performance in the test series against England. Siraj has always been a very important asset for the Indian Team, especially in test cricket. With his consistent performance over the past few years, he is now getting the appreciation and applause for it.

There was only one test in the month of August, and that was the 5th test match between India and England at The Oval Cricket Ground in London. Siraj took 9 wickets in two innings with an average of 21.11, he played a crucial role in winning the 5th test match, which helped the Indian team to draw the test series by 2-2.

Mohammad Siraj led India's pace attack in the absence of Jasprit Bumrah, who got a knee injury in the 4th test match at Old Trafford Cricket Ground. Siraj used this excellent opportunity to prove his true value in the team and shuts the voices who were questioning his presence in the team.

In the first innings, Siraj bowled around 16.2 overs and took 4 wickets with an economy rate of 5.27. But the best was yet to come, and he bowled around 30.1 overs in the second innings and got a five-wicket haul. He showed exceptional cricketing skills in this match and led his team to an important victory by 6 runs in London.
