The TATA IPL 2022 is one of the most awaited tournaments. The hype around this ten-team tournament has made people go crazy. To win such a big tournament, you need players who can perform in big matches. Players who can win crunch moments for the team are key. Over the years, the IPL has seen many big match players who come to the party when it matters the most. We have seen players like Ben Cutting winning the final match for the Sunrisers in 2016 and Corey Anderson playing the innings of his life in 2014 for Mumbai Indians. Here is a look at the consistent big match players:

1)Shane Watson:

Shane Watson has always been a big match player. Watson may not be able to make big performances on the league stage but his performances in the knockout games are always crucial. Watson was an integral part of the 2008 Rajasthan Team that won the IPL. His performance in the first-ever IPL was 4 overs bowled at an economy of 7.25 only! With the bat in his hand, he scored a quick-fire 28. In the 2018 IPL final Watson single-handedly blew away the SRH bowling. SRH bowling unit back then was loaded with sheer quality! In the 2019 IPL final, Shane Watson was a lone warrior and played even after his knee was bleeding due to injury.

2)Yusuf Pathan is a big match player in TATA IPL 2022:

There is not a bigger player than Yusuf Pathan in the big-valued games. Whether it may be do-or-die games for KKR or SRH, Yusuf has always unleashed his best only when required. Yusuf Pathan was the best batter for SRH in the 2018 final scoring 45 runs of 27 oddballs. In the 2014 IPL, in a must-win game, Yusuf Pathan scored a mammoth 72 runs of mere 22 balls. Pathan also happens to be the man of the match in the first-ever IPL final. He helped Rajasthan Royals chase in the night of the final.

3)Suresh Raina has gone unsold in TATA IPL 2022:

Suresh Raina was the face of the Chennai Super Kings till 2018. From 2018, his form dropped and he fell out of favor of the team. China Thala has played crucial knocks for the team in many big games. His first instance came against the Mumbai Indians in the 2010 IPL final. With a glorious 57 run score, Raina made sure Chennai gets a hand on the trophy. In the 2012 IPL final that CSK lost to KKR, Raina smoked a 38 ball 73. It was a knock that got overshadowed by the dominance of Manvinder Bisla. In 2014, an animal had entered the body of Suresh Raina. Raina hit a 25-ball 87. One can never forget that due to this innings of Suresh Raina, the career of Parwinder Awana stood in jeopardy. He hit Parwinder for 30 runs in one over.

4)Kieron Pollard:

Kieron Pollard is a man that joins the party only when required. We have never seen Pollard pull off amazing performances when the entire team is on the song. Pollard’s performances have come in times when the team was in severe crisis. Kieron Pollard blew away Kings XI Punjab with a 30-ball 83! Last season we witnessed Mumbai Indians chase their highest score successfully, all thanks to the big man from Trinidad. He scored a 34-ball 87! Pollard becomes a beast when Mumbai Indians face the Chennai Super Kings. He likes to batter them. In the 2010 IPL final Polly almost got the MI Paltan home. Cut to 2013, and Kieron Pollard scored a match-winning 60*.
