The New Zealand Cricket Board (NZC) has unveiled its 16 men, strong squad, for the upcoming showpiece event of the ICC, two months prior to the start of the tournament. The ICC T20 World Cup 2021 is scheduled to be staged in the UAE and Oman, starting October 17.



Along with the T20 World Cup 2021, NZC has also announced its squads for the upcoming limited-overs tour of Pakistan and Bangladesh.



The New Zealand squad for the T20 World Cup 2021 will be led by skipper Kane Williamson and his T20I deputy Tim Southee.&nbsp;



Three frontline spinners in Mitchell Santner, Ish Sodhi, and Todd Astle have been included in the squad while Mark Chapman and Glenn Phillips are kept as the backups.



The department of pacers will be spearheaded by Tim Southee and consists of Trent Boult, Lockie Ferguson and Kyle Jamieson. Two genuine all-rounders have been picked in Jimmy Neesham and Daryl Mitchell by the New Zealand Cricket Board.

India tour of New Zealand for three ODI?s postponed until 2022.



New Zealand vs India: India?s New Zealand tour of 2021 for the three matches One Day International (ODI) series has been postponed, confirmed New Zealand Cricket (NZC) spokesperson, owing to choke-a-block schedule and covid restrictions of the hosts.



As per the schedule released by ICC in its Future Tour Programme (FTP), the Men in Blue were supposed to travel to New Zealand for an ODI series which was apparently also the part of ODI World Cup Super League 2023.?



However, the recent development from the two cricket boards confirms that the tour has now been postponed and will be held after the completion of next year?s T20 World Cup, which is slated to be held in Australia. BCCI and NZC will release the finalised dates for the postponed tour later once both the counterparts schedules a meet.

Australia and England tour of Pakistan in jeopardy after New Zealand series called off.



In a major disappointment for the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), New Zealand vs Pakistan limited-overs series got called-off minutes before the toss of the 1st ODI at Rawalpindi. The visitors abruptly cancelled the series and decided to head back to New Zealand citing security threats to the players and other members.



According to the statement released by the visitors, the New Zealand government informed the team of possible security threats owing to their intelligence reports.



"Following an escalation in the New Zealand Government threat levels for Pakistan and advice from NZC security advisors on the ground, it has been decided the Blackcaps will not continue with the tour. Arrangements are now being made for the team's departure," a board release from New Zealand stated.

"We're aware of New Zealand's decision to pull out of the Pakistan tour due to a security alert," an ECB spokesperson said to ESPNcricinfo.



"We are liaising with our security team who are on the ground in Pakistan to fully understand the situation. The ECB Board will then decide in the next 24-48 hours whether our planned tour should proceed."



The call-off of the New Zealand series will be a huge setback for the hosts as Pakistan looked rooted in reviving their country?s image as a cricket playing nation. The country lost its status back in 2009 when major cricket teams started avoiding Pakistan visits for test tours. Several short cricketing events have been organised since then, however, a big event like a big test tour is yet to come.



After the tour of England, West Indies and Australia are also scheduled to travel to Pakistan for their respective tours.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has once again taken a big blow after the recent Pakistan tour snub from England and New Zealand. The cricket board was anticipating the massive tours, a big success for the people of Pakistan and the cricket board, however, security threats and intelligence reports were all it took for the kiwis and England to withdraw from the tours.



The newly-appointed PCB chief Ramiz Raja along with other Pakistan cricket fraternity has shown their frustration and resentment towards the two visiting teams for the withdrawal. A section of ministers and former cricketers have even targetted the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to manipulate things with other overseas boards and making their active contribution in the tour cancellation.



Refuting all the theories cooked by the PCB, a senior BCCI official has taken a dig at the Pakistan Cricket Board saying, ?BCCI have no time to indulge in such activities.?



"We wish Ramiz Raja good luck and hope that Pakistan cricket reaches new heights under him. We want to clear one thing that the BCCI has no role in the cancellation of England and New Zealand tours to Pakistan.?

Ramiz Raja also targeted the Australian cricketers who have been actively participating in the Indian Premier League. According to Raja, the Aussies have changed their natural aggressive nature of playing against India just for the sake of money they earn during the IPL.



"We don?t have time for all this?And also, I don?t know why some ex-Pakistan players are cursing the IPL (Indian Premier League) for no reason? I read somewhere that Raja said that the Aussie players have even changed their DNA for the sake of the money they make by playing in the IPL. He accused Aussies of playing happily against India without their usual aggressive approach.



The BCCI official added that the Indian board understand that PCB is not happy with the tour snub from England and New Zealand and their disappointment is instinctive. However, there is no need to drag the IPL into every matter you face.

T20 World Cup 2021: New Zealand pacer Lockie Ferguson has been ruled out of the T20 World Cup 2021 due to a calf muscle tear, the country?s cricket board said in a statement on Tuesday.



The 30-years old speedster complaint of tightness in his right calf muscle following net sessions ahead of New Zealand?s opening fixture against Pakistan on Tuesday. The MRI scans further revealed a grade 2 tear in the calf of Lockie Ferguson, which would rule the pacer out of cricket for at least four weeks.



Adam Milne will come in as the replacement for Lockie Ferguson in New Zealand?s T20 World Cup squad following the approval of ICC?s technical committee.



?It?s a real shame for Lockie to have this happen on the eve of the tournament and the entire team is really feeling for him right now,? coach Gary Stead said.

New Zealand tour of India: The New Zealand Cricket (NZC) Board on Thursday announced its limited-overs and test squad for the India tour. The Kiwis are set to play three T20Is and two test matches against India during November-December.



Ace pacer Trent Boult and all-rounder Colin de Grandhomme have made themselves unavailable for the two matches test series against India following the packed international calendar of the kiwis.



?Trent has already spent the best part of 60 days in hard-managed isolation this year, while Colin had been on the road since May until recently returning home from Pakistan. From talking to both players it was clear the best option for them was to be left out of this Test tour and for them to instead focus on being ready for the New Zealand home summer," said New Zealand coach Gary Stead in a statement.



India and New Zealand will lock horns for the first fixture on November 17 for a T20I match. The two sides will then face each other in two matches test series beginning November 25.

India vs New Zealand: The New Zealand Cricket (NZC) on Saturday drafted in batsman Daryl Mitchell as a replacement for injured wicketkeeper-batsman Devon Conway for the India test series. 



Conway, who seemed to be going through a purple patch in his cricketing life, was unfortunately ruled out of the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 final and for the entire India tour with his self-inflicted hand injury. Out of frustration of getting dismissed against England before chasing down the total in 1st semi-final, Conway thumped his bat which turned out to be a bizarre incident.



The stumper batsman was later revealed to have suffered a fracture in his right hand, more specifically, a break to his right-hand fifth Metacarpal.



"It's a shame for Devon to miss out on the first series of the new World Test Championship cycle, but it also offers up an opportunity for someone else," New Zealand coach Gary Stead said. "Daryl's versatility means he can cover a lot of batting positions and he's certainly got plenty of confidence at the moment.

"He's proven he can perform in Test cricket and I know he's excited to rejoin the Test group."



Mitchell has featured in five test matches for New Zealand since making his longest format debut in 2019. He has scored a century in test cricket against Pakistan in Christchurch.



As per the reports available, Conway's fair chance to make a comeback will be in January against Bangladesh. The freak self-inflicted injury is likely to take at least four to five weeks time to recuperate well.

Ross Taylor announce his retirement from international cricket: New Zealand?s batting mainstay Ross Taylor took the entire cricket fraternity on their toes as he announce his international retirement. The Kiwi took to his social media handles to announce his international retirement after the end of New Zealand?s home summer.



Taylor, who has amassed 18,074 runs throughout his international career, will appear in his last test match against Bangladesh in January 2022 while his final assignment will be the ODI series against Australia and The Netherlands.



Reckoned as one of the best batsmen in the world, Ross Taylor played his part in the ICC World Test Championship final against India as well. The cricketer stitched a strong partnership with kiwi test skipper Kane Williamson. Both of them ensured New Zealand?s success with the bat in the final of the inaugural championship.



?Today I?m announcing my retirement from international cricket at the conclusion of the home summer, two more Tests against Bangladesh, and six ODI?s against Australia &amp; the Netherlands. Thank you for 17 years of incredible support. It?s been an honour to represent my country #234,? tweeted Ross Taylor.

He further thanked his family and all the others who?ve supported him in his journey of 17 years. Taylor mentioned that he will use all his energy and focus for the New Zealand summer now.



?But all good things must come to an end and the timing feels right for me. I want to thank my family, friends and all those who have helped me get to this point. There?ll be plenty of time for more thank-yous and reflections later in the season ? but for now I want all my energy and focus to be on preparing and performing for the Black Caps this summer,? said Ross Taylor in a statement.



Ross Taylor aggregated a total of 7,584 runs in 110 test matches he appeared. He kept his average at 44.87 and smacked 19 tons and 35 half-centuries.?



In 233 One Day International Ross Taylor played, he mustered a massive 8,581 runs at an average of 48.20. The dashing cricketer has whacked 21 hundred and 51 fifties.



The kiwi also has a good record in the shortest format of cricket. Taylor has totalled 1,909 runs in the 102 T20I matches at an average of 26.15.
