Suryakumar Yadav ruled out of India vs Sri Lanka T20Is due to hand injury: In what comes as a disappointing development for team India and the fans, dashing batter Suryakumar Yadav has been ruled out of the upcoming three matches T20I series against Sri Lanka after sustaining a hand injury.

The cricketer has sustained a hairline fracture in his hand while fielding in the third T20I against West Indies. After accessing the situation the medical team of the BCCI has declared Yadav unfit for the forthcoming three T20Is.

Suryakumar Yadav was in red hot form during the recently held India vs West Indies T20Is. He scored a total of 107 runs in three matches at a strike rate of 140.47. His innings in the third T20I was a highlight of his batting brilliance.

The cricketer smashed 65 runs from 31 deliveries at an alarming strike rate of 209. Yadav was adjudged as the Man of the Match for his brilliant strike of the bat against the West Indies.

Team India will miss the services provided by Suryakumar Yadav in the upcoming three T20Is. More so as two more Indian batsmen are unavailable for the series. The BCCI has rested former skipper Virat Kohli and wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant for the T20Is.

Meanwhile, it is important to note that, young pacer Deepak Chahar has also been ruled out of the T20I series due to his hamstring injury. Chahar was seen in immense pain as he was wobbling while delivering the final ball of his second over.

The pacer, earlier, dismissed two West Indies batter in his two initial overs but ended up hurting himself. Deepak Chahar picked up the wickets of Shai Hope and Kyle Mayers and provided India with a comfortable start.

As per the reports, both the cricketers haven’t travelled to Lucknow for the first T20I against Sri Lanka. The BCCI is also very unlikely to call for a replacement as ace pacer Jasprit Bumrah is back into the squad after enjoying his time off.

The India vs Sri Lanka T20I series will begin on 26th February at Lucknow’s Ekana Stadium. The final two T20Is will be played at Dharmshala, Himachal Pradesh.
