Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) 2026 Retained & Released Players, Purse Balance, Player Salary, Available Slots & Big Trades Updates Ahead of IPL 2026 Auction
The Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) have officially announced their list of retained & released players ahead of IPL 2026 Auction. The IPL 2026 Retention deadline is over now, and all the teams have revealed their retained & released players. Sunrisers Hyderabad have retained most of their key players, but they released their star pacer Mohd. Shami, after he had a disappointing performance in IPL 2025.
A total of 8 players were released by Sunrisers Hyderabad, and they still have Rs. 25.50 crore in their purse. Mohd. Shami, Adam Zampa, and Rahul Chahar are some of the key released players who had decent performances for SRH in the last edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025.
Despite having one of the strongest batting lineups, SRH failed to qualify for the IPL 2025 Playoffs. However, they still have to fill some of the gaps, especially the fast bowling department, after the release of Mohd. Shami. Pat Cummins, Travis Head, Abhishek Sharma, Aniket Verma, Ishan Kishan, and Heinrich Klaasen are some of the key retained players.

SRH’s Big Trades and Transfer Updates:
The Sunrisers Hyderabad did one trade, but it was an all-cash deal with Lucknow Super Giants ahead of the IPL 2026 auction. They traded their key pacer Mohammad Shami to Lucknow Super Giants due to poor performance in IPL 2025, while in exchange, they got no player since it was an all-cash deal.
