Gujarat Titans secured a dominant seven-wicket win over Sunrisers Hyderabad, driven by Siraj’s four-for and Gill’s composed fifty, extending their winning streak while SRH’s struggles deepened with another loss.

SRH vs GT 2025: Gujarat Titans continued their impressive run in the TATA IPL 2025 with a commanding seven-wicket victory over the Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. A disciplined bowling performance led by Mohammed Siraj and a calm, calculated chase anchored by captain Shubman Gill helped GT register their third win on the trot, reinforcing their growing momentum this season.

On the flip side, Sunrisers Hyderabad's alarming freefall continues. Once perched confidently at the top of the points table after their opening win, SRH now find themselves languishing at the bottom with just one win from five games. Their aggressive brand of cricket that once drew admiration has all but vanished, replaced with inconsistent performances and a lack of execution in key moments.

SRH vs GT match Highlights

Toss and Playing XIs: Gujarat Titans once again proved fortunate at the toss and opted to bowl first, a decision that paid dividends on a sluggish, black-soil surface.

SRH Batting failed Again!

Sunrisers Hyderabad never really found rhythm with the bat. The early blows from local hero Mohammed Siraj—who dismissed the dangerous Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma—set the tone for GT’s control. Despite brief rebuilding efforts by Nitish Reddy and Ishan Kishan, and a later stand between Nitish and Heinrich Klaasen, the innings lacked any sustained momentum.

R Sai Kishore’s double strike broke the middle-order's back before Siraj returned with deadly reverse swing to complete a four-wicket haul. A late flourish in the final over helped SRH crawl to 152, but on a surface that had started to ease out, it didn’t seem enough.

GT's Classical Chase

The chase began shakily for Gujarat with both Sudharsan and Buttler falling cheaply inside the powerplay. However, any hopes SRH had of a comeback were quelled by a steady partnership between skipper Shubman Gill and Washington Sundar. The duo blended strike rotation with calculated aggression, turning the pressure back on the hosts.

Sundar looked set for a half-century before being controversially caught at the boundary for 49, but Gill ensured there were no more hiccups. He notched up a composed fifty and was well supported by Rutherford, who came in as the Impact Player and sealed the deal with a few big hits. GT chased down the target with 20 balls to spare, underlining the gulf in class between the two sides on the day.
