IPL 2022: SRH ropes in MS Dhoni’s invested company Cars24 as their title sponsor for IPL 2022

SRH ropes in MS Dhoni’s invested company Cars24 as their title sponsor for IPL 2022: The SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) has taken an initial step towards their journey in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 Mega Auction. The franchise has signed up a deal with MS Dhoni’s invested company, Cars24, to be the title sponsor for the upcoming IPL 2022.

Cars24, a company that operates around buying and selling used cars, has MS Dhoni on board as the investor as well as the brand ambassador. Dhoni reportedly joined Cars24 in 2020 as the brand ambassador.

The previous title sponsor of SRH, JK Lakshmi, opted to cut ties with the franchise following their unacceptable outing last year in the UAE. SRH only managed to win three matches out of 14 they played in the entire season.

As part of the million-dollar deal with Sunrisers Hyderabad, Cars24’s logo will be displayed at the front of the SRH jersey in the IPL 2022.

It is important to note that Cars24 is the first company from the category of used cars that will enter the IPL sponsorship bandwagon.

The actual worth of the contract signed by SRH and Cars24 is not yet revealed by the franchise, nor by the company.

Tom Moody will remain the Director of Cricket while Simon Katich will be the fielding coach. Former Sri Lankan spinner Muttiah Muralitharan will continue to provide his valuable services as the spin bowling coach in the franchise for IPL 2022.
